There are 79 known satellites of Jupiter, the fifth planet in our solar system whose orbital orbits have been tested and found to be permanent. This number is more than any other planets in the solar system. Four of these satellites are of very large size – Ganymede, Callisto, IO, and Europa. They were discovered by Galileo Galilei in 1610, so these four are also called the Galilean moon of Jupiter. These were the first four satellites that were found orbiting other planets from the Earth. The diameter of these four (diameter) is more than 3,100 km. The diameter of any satellite on the other side of Jupiter does not exceed 250 Kms and mostly holds a diameter of less than 5 Kms.

Io, the fifth planet in our solar system is Jupiter’s third largest satellite and it is the fourth largest moon of the entire solar system. The diameter of IO is 3,642 km. In Jupiter’s four major satellites (Ganymede, Callisto, IO, and Europa) it is the moon that is orbiting the closest orbit of Jupiter.
Due to being so close to Jupiter, the gravitational force produced by the fierce gravitational force of the planet varies from IO to which there are many volcanoes on this satellite. Europa was discovered in 1610 by Galileo Galilei and its name was Europa, a Finnish mother of King Minos of Crete and lover of Zeus (equivalent to the Roman god Jupiter).
A little smaller than Earth’s Moon, Europa is mainly composed of silicate rock and it has a water-ice layer and perhaps an iron-nickel core. There is a very thin environment, which is mainly made of oxygen. It has cracks and streaks on its surface, but the pit is relatively low. In addition to the Europe-bound telescope observations, Europa has been investigated by the succession of space probe flyby, which occurred in the early 1970s.
Ganymede is the largest satellite of Jupiter, the fifth planet in our solar system, and it is also the largest moon of the entire solar system. Its diameter is 5,268 km, which is also 8% larger than Mercury’s planet, its mass is also the highest of all the moons in the solar system and 2.2 times the Earth’s moon.
The Ganymede is the made of the roughly equal quantity of stones and water ice and its central part is molten iron. Because of this molten iron, the Ganymede is the only moon of the solar system, which has its own magnetic shell. Scientists believe that there is an ocean of water that is about two kilometers below its surface, two freezing patterns.
The area of light and thick color can be seen in its surface. It is believed that there is a high amount of new ice in light-colored areas and there are trenches and rocks in these areas which are told due to the turmoil caused by Tidal force born from Jupiter’s fierce gravity. The thickness of the surface of the thick color seems very old and it is estimated that it has not changed much in the past 4 billion years, except by making the poke crater from falling meteorites in place.
Callisto, the fifth planet in our solar system, is the second largest satellite of Jupiter and it is the third largest moon in the entire solar system. Its diameter is approximately 4,820 km, which is 99% of Mercury’s planet, but due to its very high density of Mercury, its mass is only one-third of Mercury.
The Callisto is made up of an approximately equal quantity of stone and water ice. It is possible that there is a stone sphere in its center. It is also possible that there is an ocean of water at a depth of about 100 km from the surface. The surface of the Callisto is thick and has many striking craters on it. Scientific estimates suggest that this surface was built billions of years ago and has since been restored.
